Two years ago, the RELOAD agreement was deployed at Airbus. The CGT did not sign this text, and today, facts unfortunately prove us right. Despite the promises, what was presented as progress has turned into a trap for Airbus employees: our careers are stagnating, and so are our salaries!
The trade unions that signed RELOAD justified it by presenting it as an obligation to comply with the new national collective agreement. Yet, they are primarily responsible for it, as they participated in its creation with the UIMM* and signed it!
A very loose application of the collective agreement…
Not only is this text a blatant step backward for collective guarantees, but the management, in its application through RELOAD, is also ignoring the rules defined within it. Airbus has diverted the methodology of the joint educational guide. The result: classification has been adapted to our salary, and not to the reality of our job.
What everyone is observing:
- Colleagues see their positions under-classified, far below the reality and complexity of their work.
- Colleagues performing the same work find themselves with different classifications.
- Because their positions are deliberately under-classified, colleagues find themselves with a salary well above the Minimum Hierarchical Salary (SMH) of the position. This is the perfect excuse to stop giving them raises!
- Upon departure, the job classification is often revised based on the profile of the newcomer, according to their salary. This is « variable geometry » job classification!
Blocked career prospects
Condemned to move to grow their careers and salaries, colleagues find themselves in increased competition for every open position, leading to much disappointment and frustration due to a lack of space for everyone…
Management’s objective is clear: lower the payroll!
It is a success for them, but a social regression for the employees!
Unacceptable daily practices
Colleagues who dare to challenge their job description and the rating of their position with valid arguments find themselves rejected, or even threatened with retaliatory measures by their manager.
Do not remain isolated in the face of this injustice!
Whether you are a union member or not, we are here to study your job description with you, analyze your rating criterion by criterion, and define possible steps to assert your rights.
Your situation is unique, but the problem is collective. The CGT Airbus Commercial Aircraft is by your side to defend your rights.
