Salary Negotiations : Outrageous Proposals!

Temps de lecture estimé : 2 minutes

The first meeting (R1) of the Commercial Aircraft salary negotiations (Operations + SAS) took place on Thursday, March 12th. Management’s proposals are outrageous given the group’s excellent financial health (see the CGT leaflet from February 23rd).

Key Figures

€2.53 Billion in dividends will be paid to shareholders in 2026 (+6.7% compared to 2025). This amount is equivalent to €15,306 per Airbus Group employee worldwide! And did you know? The compensation of Guillaume FAURY, CEO of Airbus, increased by +33% in 2025!

The CGT demands a better distribution of the wealth produced by our work through a real increase in our wages.

CGT Demands:

  • €237 gross monthly increase, corresponding to the average raise requested by the 1,512 colleagues who responded to the CGT salary survey (February 2026). Applied to all Airbus employees worldwide, this increase would represent +4.1% of the total payroll (calculation based on the 2025 Airbus Financial Report, p. 40).
  • Retroactivity of the salary policy to January 1st.
  • Alignment of job descriptions with actual roles performed and upward revision of classification where applicable.
  • Gender pay equality: A dedicated and binding budget to achieve real equality.
  • Sick leave subrogation: i.e., full maintenance of salary without the employee having to front the daily social security allowances.
  • General Increase (GI) for everyone, both management and non-management.
  • Guaranteed career progression by increasing salaries by +1.8% above inflation every year. See the CGT salary booklet (p. 10).

Increase wages, not shareholders!

While the pressure on the cost of living is growing for employees—especially regarding fuel prices currently—nearly half of the 2025 profits will be redistributed as dividends.

For the CGT, the priority must be increasing wages!

What can we do?

There will be no significant progress if we remain within the sole framework of the « social dialogue » desired by management and other unions.

To build the collective leverage (rapport de force) necessary to be heard, the CGT stands ready to organize any initiative with the employees!
